Mercy Because of Covenant

At the end of a recent class, the instructor (Ap. Barbara Wentroble) had a us spend a period of time praying and decreeing. Something I believe Holy Spirit showed me during that time was that the children of Israel didn’t really deserve for God to free them from Egyptian bondage. What I felt like He said to me was that the children of Israel were not righteous. God did not deliver them because of their righteousness. He delivered them because they were His covenant people and they were crying out to Him because of the oppression. At the time I heard that, I was thinking about the covenants that were made with God at the founding of this country. I was thinking about the one made at Cape Henry in 1607. And then the first thing George Washington did when he was sworn in as the first president was to pray and dedicate this nation to God. When the first Congress opened their first session the very first thing they did was the same. People can try to rewrite history, but God d...

Good Enough is Not Good Enough

Received:  03/26/2024 Received by:  Laurie Skipper “Good enough” is not good enough when it comes to an assignment from the Lord .  Numbers 33:55-56 (NLT) 55   But if you fail to drive out the people who live in the land, those who remain will be like splinters in your eyes and thorns in your sides.  They will harass you in the land where you live.   56   And I will do to you what I had planned to do to them.” I hear the L ord saying that if we do not push through to total and complete victory, removing everyone who is evil and corrupt and all who worked with and enabled them from office and places of authority and influence, they will be “splinters in our eyes and thorns in our sides” and will rise back up quickly to undo the gains made and retake the land from which they had been driven.  This applies to all seven mountains.   How long and how thoroughly we rule each one will depend on to what extent we depose not only th...

Intentional, Focused, Fearless

I first heard Holy Spirit speak these three words to me sometime mid-January.   I knew they were specific direction for 2023.   Initially, I assumed they were just for me, personally.   That changed on the final afternoon of January (1/31/23).   As Holy Spirit gave me an almost instant download to their application, I realized this was something I needed to share. Intentional First, I want to say that I have heard others mention this word with respect to our actions this year.   However, it was not just this one word that I heard.   It was the first of a 3-part directive.   That said, we need to understand what this word means.   Per Merriam Webster’s online Unabridged Dictionary, the word “intentional” means to be “done by intention or design.” [1]   It is not extremely helpful when the definition of a word contains a different form of the same word.   So, I dug further.   “Intention” is defined as “an action of intend...
